The connections of the Sardinian airports with the Ancona-Falconara Marittima airport are back. Volotea will resume flights Ancona-Cagliari and Ancona-Olbia from Friday 27 May .

The connection with the capital has two weekly frequencies, Wednesday and Saturday, the one with the Costa Smeralda airport has three, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

The reactivation of flights from Ancona, Volotea underlines, " reconfirms the commitment to offer comfortable, fast and direct connections from the main airports to Sardinia and, at the same time, aims to support the recovery of the tourism sector, a fundamental driving force for recovery economy of Italy ".

In the summer , the company will operate with 41 aircraft, 5 more than the 36 in summer 2019. And it will increase the capacity of seats compared to 2019: it expects to carry between 9 and 9.5 million passengers this year , around 32 % more than the record recorded in 2019, when 7.6 million were transported.
