New measure in favor of professional training agencies and bodies.

The Solinas Council approved, on the proposal of the councilor for work, Alessandra Zedda, the provision that allocates new resources in favor of subjects with operational headquarters and local units in the regional territory, authorizing, for the year 2021, the expenditure of 2, 5 million euros for the continuation of interventions in favor of professional training.

"In a still uncertain context, all those support measures aimed not only at economic operators but also at those involved in training are of fundamental importance" explained the president of the Region, Christian Solinas. "The economic crisis that during these two years has also overwhelmed the economy of Sardinia continues to have important repercussions on the labor market, aggravating social and income inequalities. This is why the commitment of the Region in supporting agencies and entities that promote the training of our workers is constant and strategic for recovery ".

"With the renewal of this important measure, we feed professional training and support all those individuals who have found themselves operating in the course of a particularly difficult year, 2021", the words of Councilor Zedda. It is in fact a subsidy aimed at supporting - through a parameterized contribution to the salary costs of the staff kept in service - the resumption of activities severely damaged by the suspension or reduction of activities due to the emergency from Covid-19.

"The Region is committed to every tool to promote employment - continued the commissioner - in the certainty that increasing knowledge and improving skills through specific training courses is the main way to move the employment request by favoring the meeting between demand and offering and facilitating the introduction of increasingly specialized and requested professionals ".

THE CONTRIBUTION - Specifically, professional training agencies and bodies will be entitled to a contribution, for the year 2021, for each worker for which the training agency requests the aid, parameterised at 60 percent of the monthly salary. The subsidy may not exceed a period of six months, even if not continuous, minus any periods of layoffs enjoyed by the staff employed by the beneficiary agency (in compliance with the rules on accumulation and the prohibition of double financing which requires that the cost of an intervention cannot be repaid twice from public sources of financing, even of a different nature). A maximum amount of € 100,000 has also been established for the contribution that can be used for each training agency that is the recipient of the intervention.
