What lies beneath the sand of the splendid Porto Giunco beach? Or Punta Molentis, Simius, Cala Caterina? Or any other wonderful Sardinian beach? You can discover it starting today and continuing all week in Piazza Gramsci in Villasimius thanks to "Sand, the Invisible World on the Beach," a photography exhibition by Luigi Corda. An extraordinary visual journey that leads you to rediscover the most authentic essence (but also the fragility) of Sardinian beaches.

The invitation, as the organizers explain, is to look at the sand with different eyes. Each photograph on display offers a profound account of the delicate nature of the coastal ecosystem. "The details of the grains of sand," says Sebastiano Ledda, Villasimius city councilor responsible for the environment, "remind us of the extraordinary beauty of our territory and the fundamental importance of protecting and caring for it every day."

Hence the invitation "to visit the exhibition this week," adds Ledda, "to be inspired by the sensitivity and mastery with which the artist has captured the soul of our land." The project is sponsored by the Municipality of Villasimius with the collaboration of the Capo Carbonara Marine Protected Area and the Ministry of the Environment.
