The program of cultural events scheduled in Villacidro as part of the thirty-seventh edition of the "Giuseppe Dessì" Award, organized by the Giuseppe Dessì Foundation, chaired by the writer and lawyer Antonello Angioni, and by the Municipality of Villacidro with the patronage of the Regional Council of Sardinia, the Regional Department of Education, the Foundation of Sardinia, the Ministry of Culture and the LAG Linas Campidano.

The fifth day, scheduled for today, Thursday 22 September, offers a varied agenda of events, with literary presentations, meetings and music.

After the appointments for the schools in the morning, the public will be able to follow the events dedicated to enthusiasts that will begin in the afternoon with the meeting "Accompanying people and building living together: a tension at the base of pedagogy" on the bill at 5.30 pm at Mulino Cadoni .

Protagonists are one of the best known French pedagogists, Philippe Meirieu , professor at the Lumière Lyon II University, and the Italian Enrico Bottero .

The conference, with the participation of Enrica Ena , is linked to the contents of Philippe Meirieu's essay "Ce que l'école peut encore pour la démocratie", published by Autrement, in which the author addresses the great principles of modern education through his experiences as a pupil and professor, as a student and researcher, as a father of a family, as a man engaged in social work, and those of great educators such as Johann Pestalozzi, Jean Itard, Maria Montessori, Célestin Freinet, Janusz Korczak.

Closing in the evening, at 9.30 pm in the courtyard of Casa Dessì, with the concert-reading "Fondale", by and with Giancarlo Onorato on vocals, narrator and guitar.

On stage, to hold the scene with the Lombard artist, Lory Muratti voice, piano and electric guitar.

Menu of the show live songs from the repertoire of both, interspersed with forays into songwriting by artists such as Bowie, Tenco, Endrigo, Radiohead , alternating with sound readings designed to reveal territories and brave characters.

Tomorrow, the third to last day of the cultural itinerary traced by the Dessì Foundation, will begin with two appointments for the schools of the Dessì institute: at 9.30 Laura Orsolini will present "Il ladro Gourmet" published by De Agostini while at 10 a meeting with the president of Bimed, Biennial of Mediterranean Arts and Sciences, Andrea Iovino and the awarding of the “ScriViAmo” Prize to the Comprehensive Institute n. 2 named after Giuseppe Dessì.

The schools of Villacidro have in fact participated in the "Relay of creative writing of citizenship and legality", a format created by Bimed that every year fascinates hundreds of schools and local authorities from all over Italy.

The project involves the school as a whole - managers, teachers, students, families, institutions, territories and libraries - as it aims to support and disseminate the writing and reading activities of schools.

Also in the morning theater for the little ones at Casa Dessi, where at 10 will be staged Riccino and Riccetta, a show of "Il Crogiuolo", written and directed by Rita Atzeri, with Antonio Luciano and Marta Gessa: a theatrical work to explain to children who was Antonio Gramsci thanks to the letters written to his children and the fairy tales contained in them.

Tomorrow will continue at Mulino Cadoni with three meetings in the afternoon.

"Words and images of a partnership: Giuseppe Dessì and Maria Lai" is the title of the first, on the agenda at 5 pm.

The project, which will start next year, was presented by the art historian Simona Campus, the vice president of the Dessì Foundation Giuditta Sireus and Maria Lai's niece Maria Sofia Pisu.

Following, at 6 pm, "Country of shadows and the 50 years of the Witch", round table with the participation of the president of the Dessì Foundation Antonello Angioni, the councilor for culture of the Municipality of Villacidro Christian Balloi and three members of the jury of the Dessì Prize , the president Anna Dolfi Giuseppe Lupo and Stefano Petrocchi.

At 7 pm the Italianists Nicola Turi and Giuseppe Langella, member of the jury of the Dessì Prize, the son of Giuseppe Dessì, Francesco, in conversation with Duilio Caocci, will present "Pandemias and other civil poems", fresh out of Mursia.

Grand finale for the meeting with Ermal Meta , scheduled at 9.30 pm at Parco Dessì.

The singer-songwriter will present, interviewed by the musician, writer and director Lory Muratti, his debut novel “Domani e per semper”.

The volume, published by La nave di Teseo, is a gallery of unforgettable characters, above all the extraordinary story of a boy, Kajan, in the heart of the twentieth century conflicts that dramatically resembles what we are seeing and experiencing even today.
