«My journey towards Paris 2024 ends here. I undertook it with the desire to fight to the end but also with the awareness that there could be this type of outcome, it's part of the game. But even if I have had many injuries in my career, you never get used to it and the blow is always strong, especially after three years of training and one month from the final goal", wrote Ferrari on his Instagram profile with the video of the injury .
It would have been the fifth Olympics for the champion, who made her debut in 2008 in Beijing, the only minor on the Italian team, then moving on to London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Tokyo 2020 where she won silver.
