Training sessions, debates and moments of exploration of the territory. Countdown to the first event promoted by the Fondazione Cammino Francescano in Sardinia dedicated to the valorization of the Franciscan heritage of the island and the promotion of a model of cultural and religious tourism based on sustainability and connection with local communities.
The event will be held in Laconi from 28 to 30 November 2024 and will bring together experts, institutions and operators in the sector to share strategies and good practices, placing the values of Franciscanism at the centre. The event will be divided into three days full of events .
On November 28 and 29, Palazzo Aymerich will host a training course aimed at the representatives of the destinations that are part of the Network of Franciscan Places. Here, topics such as cultural identity, territorial marketing and the opportunities offered by slow tourism will be explored.
The days will also include an educational tour to discover the historical and landscape beauties of Laconi , guided by experts in the sector.
The highlight of the event will be Saturday, November 30, with a round table at the Cineteatro Fabrizio De Andrè. Moderated by journalist Paolo Matta , the session will feature speeches by prominent guests such as Father Fabrizio Congiu, creator of the Cammino Francescano, and Simone Frignani, author of the Cammino di San Benedetto , as well as institutional and academic representatives.
During the day, some important projects for the tourism development of the Sardinia Region will also be presented, as well as those related to the promotion of destinations and the Path that the Foundation itself plans to carry out in 2025.

Father Fabrizio Congiu, vice president of the Foundation and creator of the Walk, added: "The Franciscan Walk is not simply a tourist itinerary, but a profound experience of spirituality, immersed in the thousand-year history of Sardinia. Through the Franciscan places, the Walk is an opportunity to escape from the frenetic rhythms of everyday life and, at a slow pace, let yourself be amazed by creation, and to contemplate in silence the truth that is within yourself".
