The author himself would probably have read that work in the same way, with the right amount of sarcasm and the ability to make the audience laugh in those passages where it is almost difficult to understand whether he is describing a dream or reality.
Actor Valerio Aprea demonstrated his immense talent in his tribute to Sergio Atzeni, which had its national premiere last night.
“In Città,” the title of the show based on the book “I sogni della città bianca” (Dreams of the White City), included in the program of events for the “Night of Poets” organized by Cedac, was much more than a tribute to the Sardinian writer, thirty years after his death.
Accompanied by Adele Madau on the violin, Valerio Aprea led the audience on a discovery of Atzeni's work, in a reading that lasted an hour and a quarter, ending with prolonged applause and a desire to reread all of Sergio Atzeni's works.
