The local radio and television system is of paramount importance for local information. This was reiterated by Alberto Barachini, Undersecretary of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, with responsibility for Publishing, during a meeting at the Department for Information and Publishing with the Local TV Association of Confindustria Radio TV and Aeranti-Corallo. The meeting also provided an opportunity to examine the distribution methods of the single fund for pluralism and digital innovation in information and publishing.
As stated in a joint press release from CRTV and Aeranti-Corallo, "the 2026 budget law confirmed the resources previously allocated for local broadcasting for the years 2026, 2027, and 2028."

The Undersecretary assured that, in conjunction with the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, he will ensure that the necessary measures to support publishing, starting with the amendments presented to the Milleproroghe bill, do not lead to a reduction in resources allocated to local broadcasters.
Aeranti-Corallo coordinator Marco Rossignoli and the president of the Local TV Association of Confindustria Radio TV Maurizio Giunco also highlighted the importance of opening a discussion table with the Department for Information and Publishing of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy "to identify ways to future increase the single fund for pluralism and digital innovation in information and publishing and, consequently, the shares of publishing and radio and television broadcasting."
