No medal. In Espoo Dalia Kaddari deluded herself that she could confirm herself as the Under 23 European champion of the 200 metres. She had a strong start in the final, she took the lead on the final straight, she seemed able to do it. Instead, as the finish line approached, the opponents overtook it and, in the last meters, even the podium vanished.

The Belgian Delphine Nkansa won (in a modest 23"31, wind -0.1 m/s), ahead of the Hungarian Boglarka Takacs (23"33) and the Greek Polyniki Emmanouilidou (23"41). In fourth place was the German Talea Prepens, with the same time as the policewoman from Quartu (23”52, 4 thousandths of a difference assigned by the photo finish).

Kaddari will return to Sardinia from Finland via Rome, together with coach Fabrizio Fanni, to prepare for the Italian championships in Molfetta and then the World Cup in Budapest.
