After winning the title of Italian tree 2023 in the "Italian tree of the year" competition, a new showcase arrives for the Olivastro di Luras, now competing in the European competition involving 15 nations.
Olivastro, among the most visited destinations on the island, is an attraction for nature lovers from all over the world. With its 14 meters high, a circumference of 1154 centimeters and an age estimated between 3000 and 4000 years, it represents a piece of history of which the community of Luras is proud. Continuously preserving and protecting the area where the "green giant" stands.
From the Ras website, further details are provided to vote for it until February 22, 2024 on the Giant Trees Foundation website. «The preference - it is specified by Ras - must be given to two trees only once for the entire duration of the competition and must be confirmed via the email address provided at the time of voting».
