Green light to the project "Culture and traditions: Destination Sorso" and the ethnographic exhibition dedicated to the traditional dress of the Romangia village.

At the Baronial Palace the Councilor for Tourism and Culture Federico Basciu and the curator of the exhibition Vanna Pina Delogu illustrated the two initiatives. The project "Culture and traditions: Destination Sorso" was born from an idea of the municipal administration and financed in part by the Fondazione di Sardegna.

An initiative that brings together culture and traditions, identity and environment with an articulated series of works destined to remain permanently for the enjoyment of the community and tourists. A journey to discover the territory through new forms of tourist offer extended throughout the year, a stimulus to the rebirth of places, the enhancement of productions and the precious historical-cultural heritage to promote Sorso as a tourist destination even outside the island .

"It is a project that this Administration holds in particular - underlined the councilor for Tourism and Culture Federico Basciu - because it is different from the classic event that has a beginning and an end although often repeated over the years". Destinazione Sorso aims to create an experiential tourist attraction for sharing and knowledge of the local area and culture with the involvement of the tourism and hospitality sector and of the entire productive and social fabric.

"The municipal administration - says the mayor Fabrizio Demelas - is constantly working to enhance the identity of our city, its territory and its traditions".

Another particularly appreciated project is the ethnographic exhibition "On the wings of tradition", inaugurated in recent days, which accompanies the visitor in the ancient halls of the Baronial Palace which house precious clothes of the Sorso tradition.
