"According to an analysis of the sector, Sardinia is among the most popular Italian tourist destinations also in the months of September and October . Therefore, after the numbers recorded in the last three months, with over 3.6 million arrivals in ports and airports , we expect the season to actually lengthen, confirming, even with respect to the record data of 2019, that tourism is in strong recovery, so much so as to drive the Sardinian economy. As for tourist flows, the good news is not yet finished ".

This is how the President of the Region Christian Solinas comments on the data of arrivals in Sardinia for the months of June-July-August and the estimates for the period of late summer-early autumn.

THE NUMBERS - Based on the numbers provided by the Port System Authority of the Sardinian Sea, 635,198 arrivals were recorded in Sardinian ports (Olbia 391,376; Porto Torres 141,270; Golfo Aranci 84,306; Cagliari 18,246): numbers up compared to 2021 ( over 4%), but down when compared with 2019.
