The Sardinian town that has recently recorded the best leap forward in the tourism field? It is Carbonia, which last year saw a 72% increase in attendance.

The result was certified by the 2023 Tourism Observatory.

In second place is Tertenia, with +52%, followed in order by Tempio, Nuoro, Arborea and Gairo.

«This is a success that fills us with pride - comments the mayor of Carbonia Pietro Morittu - and we are truly pleased because it rewards our policy aimed at the all-round valorisation of the city's museum and tourist-accommodation system, accompanied by the organization of numerous cultural and entertainment initiatives which have allowed Carbonia to make an important leap forward, with the hope that this is only the first step, a harbinger of further and constant future growth".

The municipal councilor for Tourism Michele Stivaletta is also on the same wavelength, speaking of "comforting data, which pushes us to work even harder".
