A tired Torres team still beat Latte Dolce 2-0 in the friendly match played on the synthetic pitch on Via Cilea.
The home side attempted a surprise start, with Zaccagno saving from Sorgente's diagonal shot. In the 10th minute, Antonelli was substituted with a right shoulder injury, and the young Palazzo came on and played a solid game. The goal came in the 16th minute following a move set up by Mastinu, with Liviero linking up with Scotto and unforgiving once inside the box. Zecca came close to doubling the lead twice: in the second, Mastinu's 60-meter pass attempted to loop over the advancing goalkeeper, but his arc was insufficient.
In the second half, several substitutions were made, and the second goal was scored by two substitutes: Sanat placed the ball in front of goal, where Sorrentino, returning after some physical problems, headed it home.
Tomorrow I'll rest, then we'll resume training to prepare for the Coppa Italia match against Spezia, scheduled for Sunday, August 16th.
