Thomas Markle, appeal to Meghan and Harry: "Let me see my grandchildren"
The father of the Duchess of Sussex hopes for a reconciliation with the Dukes of Sussex. But at the same time he accuses them of "thinking only about money"
“I really wish they would let me meet my grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet”. This is the appeal launched by Thomas Markle to his daughter Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry of England.
Markle senior, 77, has never seen the two sons of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, due to his tense relationship with his daughter , from whom he has been estranged for years.
Now, from the microphones of the TV program Good Morning Britain, he has almost begged the couple to consent to his meeting with the little ones. An outstretched hand, accompanied, however, by the accusation against Meghan and Harry of not putting affection first, but of "thinking about money first".
"We should instead - he added about his daughter - both grow up a little, talk to each other, reconcile, for the good of the children and for ourselves".
As for the two grandchildren, “they will grow up and want to know more,” added Markle, a former lighting technician for US TV who currently lives in Rosarito, Mexico.
In the interview, the man further revealed that Meghan wanted him to stop talking to his half-sister and half-brother, "and I couldn't." "She's never been like this before. Since she's been with Harry, she's changed," he added.
