There seems to be no peace for the seventy-second edition of the Cavalcata Sarda, which will be held in Sassari on May 21st. The controversy is linked to the issue of refunds, considered by some to be inadequate.

Another renunciation is the one announced by the Giovanni Maria Angioy di Bono folk group and tenor cultural association, which arrives a few hours away from that of the Città di Tempio folk group and the "Su Furione" cultural association of Nule.

«When you share an initiative of protest, discontent, discomfort, whatever the reason, it must be followed by an act of concreteness – reads a post published on Facebook by the Association of the town of Goceano -. It is precisely for this reason that the cultural association folk group and tenor Giovanni Maria Angioy di Bono, in the meeting held on March 14, unanimously resolved to share in all the decision of the friends of the Academy of Popular Traditions Città di Tempio, not to present a request to participate in the 72nd edition of the Cavalcata Sarda, scheduled for May 21, 2023, where they complain that the organizers of this, in setting the criteria for reimbursements, because they are only reimbursements, have created clear and obvious inequalities provoking disagreements between the Folklore associations which, moved by a strong identity and cultural passion, carry on with commitment and seriousness, exhibiting in the various Regional, National and International events, the traditional clothes/costumes that belonged to their grandparents and great-grandparents, rich in value not only cultural but above all human".

There are two months to go before the important folkloristic event which is likely to see the participation of not a large number of folkloristic groups.
