Theater and charity: in Sassari tribute to Gaber and Jannacci for an ultrasound
The proceeds from the show will be used to purchase the machinery for the hospital's child neuropsychiatry department

The small orchestra Goganga and Pino and Anticorpi together for the initiative born in the Sport Club 900 gym . The objective is to raise funds to realize the dream of a physiatrist, Elena Aiello, who has been looking for an ultrasound machine for some time for her young patients in the Child Neuropsychiatry department of the University Hospital of Sassari , forced to turn to extra-regional structures: the only clinic in Sardinia that provides infiltration services with botulinum toxin is hosted at the ASL Cagliari.
The charity show that will be staged at the Teatro Verdi in Sassari on Sunday 28 April is entitled " Quelli che...homage to Giorgio Gaber and Enzo Jannacci ".
«The ultrasound will allow us to subject our children - explained Dr. Aiello - to a therapy thanks to which some of them will be able, for example, to start walking again, placing their feet in a more appropriate way, or allowing them to work less hard and above all to remove pain because they often suffer from painful spasms."
For the purchase of this precious medical equipment, a solidarity network began with the involvement of the musical artist Mariano Melis, the collaboration born with the Gabriele Bacchiddu Foundation and the availability of Professor Stefano Sotgiu , at the helm of the complex structure of the Aou of Sassari who immediately accepted the proposal, ensuring that the idea took shape.
The homage of the Piccola Orchestra Goganga to the two artists, Giorgio Gaber and Enzo Jannacci, colleagues by profession, friends of life, is a musical project born four years ago from the passion of the singer Mariano Melis for the two Milanese artists: their art, the dedication of the small musical group "Goganga" from the title of a famous song written in 1963 by Giorgio Gaber; involved in the artistic project, in recent years the show has toured in various theaters on the island, the musician friends Daniele Manca (piano-keyboards and choirs), Gianni Gadau (bass and choirs), Marco Chessa (drums and choirs) and Gian Piero Carta (sax and clarinet). Also on stage, as special guests, are the comic duo Michele and Stefano Manca, alias Pino & Gli Anticorpi.
During the show, an hour and a quarter to the lively and engaging rhythm of Gaber and Jannacci's most representative songs, images and video testimonials of the two creative artists will be projected.
