The Unione Sarda Planetarium turns ten, with many initiatives for all ages.

It was 8 December 2011 when the ultra-modern structure built in the Cagliari headquarters of the Sardinian Union opened its doors, with the large room where you can admire the celestial firmament and explore the Universe in a pleasant and captivating way.

Since its inauguration, the Union Sarda Planetarium has hosted around 180,000 spectators, offering a vast program of events that alternate over the weeks. There are also many educational projections for schools: the universe, space exploration, environmental sustainability, Galileo and Dante are some of the proposals available to schools which, from infancy to the last year of high school, can book a visit .

On the occasion of the 10 years of opening, on December 8, the Planetarium wants to thank the many spectators who have visited it, offering two free shows.

The first show is aimed at families with children and will show, at 4 pm, a “Journey among the stars”. At 7 pm there will be a real journey through time, to observe "the sky of the nuragic people", discovering how our ancestors built some of their monuments, looking at the stars.

To participate in these events it is mandatory to book. Furthermore, on the occasion of the first 10 years of activity, the Planetarium will offer all minors, until the end of the year, a small Christmas gadget in memory of the visit.
