A genuine and tenacious competition between emerging bands is finally entering its key phase. The Bodie Rock Music Contest is moving from Villanova to Fabrik , and after reaching the quarterfinals on April 3rd, it has now reached the semifinals of its third edition , with eight groups remaining . And on Saturday the 9th, the challenge will be between Dogon , Akakor , Loud Station , and Il Mio Oblio , who will take turns on the stage of the venue at Via Mameli 216 in Cagliari from 9 pm .

Promoted by the Bodie Art team at Via San Giovanni 254 , the contest began there last November, starting in the round of 16 with twelve participating projects. The aim of the competition is to promote the emerging scene and foster its visibility at a local level , subjecting each band to scores assigned by the public – via coupons that will be distributed tomorrow evening until before the concerts – and to the jury's evaluations , based on criteria of originality and creativity, stage presence and affinity, and honest personal taste. Previous editions have been won by Cagliari's Ave Mariachi and Sassari's Eraserhead Industries .

Saturday's event will be followed by another round of semi-finals, this time featuring the groups Zero Pelo , Abismal Nocturna , Venales and Vulika Rot , once again at Fabrik on May 29th . The cult venue in Cagliari will also be the stage for the grand closing showdown on June 6th , to be held once the two finalists have been chosen.
