The most prestigious literary prize starts from Sassari and Ukraine. The work of art that will be delivered to the winner or winner of the 2022 Strega Prize was created in Sassari by an artist of Ukrainian origins, Taras Halaburda. The organization of the Strega Prize for this year's edition has selected the unpublished sculptural work (as required by the competition regulations) of the young artist who graduated from the School of Sculpture of the “Mario Sironi” Academy of Fine Arts. The creation will be shown to the public after the award ceremony.

For Halaburda it is a further professional success, having already been awarded for his creative ability in various shows and exhibitions in the last few years. He currently plays the role of tutor in the academic school which he continues to attend to specialize.

And undoubtedly this success, as well as personal, is a new appreciation also for the now multi-year work that the Academy of Sculpture School, directed by Federico Soro in a team with teachers Davide Fadda and Oscar Solinas, carries out with commitment and perseverance at the inside the Department of Visual Arts of the Academy, always coordinated by Soro and who also collaborates closely with the School of Painting directed by Giovanni Sanna. In fact, the "Mario Sironi" Academy of Fine Arts, the only state institution in Sardinia for high artistic training and dynamically directed by Antonio Bisaccia, once again proves to be a living breeding ground for nationally recognized artistic creations as well as a Academy open to external stimuli and equipped with its own precise planning capacity and long-term vision of growth for the future.
