The time is ripe. The Todde Administration is ready to pass the second Budget of the Legislature. The green light is expected tomorrow, after which it will have a month and a half to achieve the crucial goal: approval by the Regional Council by December 31st, thus avoiding the need for the provisional budget, which was used four times in the previous budget.

This time, Budget Councilor Giuseppe Meloni wants to do things properly, but there are plenty of difficulties.

The first is also the most concrete: the 2026 Budget is worth over ten billion euros, but the manageable amount (the portion of the budget released and usable for new policies) is very low: just one hundred million, which has already been earmarked to cover the increase in the regional healthcare fund in line with the increase in the national fund.
