The Sardinian council has allocated almost 40 million for the purchase of 90 12-meter electric buses for the ARST, the resolution was approved on the proposal of the transport councilor Giorgio Todde.

"The renewal of the fleet continues - comments Christian Solinas - with a view to achieving a series of objectives that the Council has set itself since its establishment: to guarantee all users of local public transport increasingly efficient and modern services, following an approach oriented towards respect for the environment and greater sustainability ”.

“We continue to invest in a fair, accessible and sustainable local mobility system , with the aim of replacing the entire bus fleet with an environmental class below Euro 5 by 2030”, says Councilor Todde.

The electric technology for these buses, the commissioner explains, "requires a battery recharge time of about 7 hours, for a travel range of about 250 kilometers ".
