Great success and lots of applause last night at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari . "Entrez dans la danse" gave an evening of great dance in a crescendo of emotions, enchantment, virtuosity, divertissement.

The debut in Cagliari of the Ballet Nice Méditerranée , (Ballet of the Nice Opera) directed by the choreographer Éric Vu-An, almost all his choreographies, was welcomed with ovations. An original format between tradition and innovation, original flashes and irony, which convinced the public.

Dancers and dancers in their masterful interpretation and high technical rate have given life to a series of solos, twos, trios , and group choreographies in a range of styles and genres, geographies, cultures that look from the Mediterranean to the world.

"A company capable of exploring the entire classical repertoire, crossing the masterpieces of modernity up to contemporary creations rooted in its beautiful opera house but happy to come out of it to meet the general public", writes Valentina Bonelli in the hall libretto.

The curtain opens to reveal an enchanting scenery , in a juxtaposition between the ancient architecture of a temple and the colors of a distant countryside. In fact, a suite from Sylvia sets the tone, recalling the settings of Torquato Tasso's pastoral fable. Romantic Hoffmanian atmospheres, between dream and reality in the double step of "Coppélia", music by Léo Delibes. On the notes of Tchaikovsky there is all the charm of the "Adagio della rosa" from the ballet "Sleeping beauty". Then again the tribute to Verdi with the overture of La Traviata. These are just some of the creations in an exciting program where Don Quichotte could not miss, with the wedding of the protagonists. Grand finale with Le Ballet de Faust.

On the podium to conduct the orchestra of the Teatro Lirico is the Venetian Tommaso Ussardi, a young composer and conductor who returns to Cagliari after the success obtained last summer with Antonio Gades' Fuego.
