The Concertone takes back Piazza San Giovanni, completely renovated (a partial covering was designed to protect it) after the interlude at Circo Massimo last year, and it does so in the name of "United for safe work", the slogan chosen for 2025 by the unions promoting the event.

The stage will feature (in alphabetical order) Achille Lauro, Alfa, Andrea Cerrato, Anna and Vulkan, Anna Carol, Anna Castiglia, Arisa, Bambole di Pezza, Brunori Sas, Carl Brave, Centomilacarie, Dente, Ele A, Elodie, Eugenio in Via di Gioia, Federica Abbate, Franco126, Fulminacci, Gabry Ponte, Gaia, Gazzelle, Ghali, Giglio, Giorgia, Giorgio Poi, Giulia Mei, i Benvegnù, Il Mago del Gelato, Joan Thiele, Legno & Gio Evan, Leo Gassmann, Luchè, Lucio Corsi, Mimi, Mondo Marcio, Orchestraccia ft. Mundial, Patagarri, Pierdavide Carone, Rocco Hunt, Senhit, Serena Brancale, Shablo with special guests, The Kolors, Tredici Pietro.

"There is a new wave of authorial music that crosses rap, rock, electronic and that puts the word back at the center to tell the themes of May Day - explains the artistic director of the event Massimo Bonelli -. With the festival the exchange has always been profitable. From the Concertone there have always been 'first fruits'. The stage of San Giovanni has and has always had this role: social and musical, but putting together the cast is increasingly difficult: this year I received 320 nominations".

More than fifty artists (including the eight young artists starring in the opening starting at 1.13 pm) will alternate during the long marathon of over 10 hours, between music and reflections on social and current issues. Noemi, Ermal Meta and BigMama have been confirmed to hold the reins for the second consecutive year. Alongside them, with his forays as a scientific popularizer, there will be the physicist Vincenzo Schettini.

The square will pay homage to Pope Francis: his voice will echo, fishing out phrases from the archives from speeches on work, art, dignity. The 80 years of Liberation and the role played by women will also be remembered.

The unions are paying maximum attention to the issue of health and safety at work. "Because with the thousand people who die every year, what is happening is a massacre that does not stop. It is the business model that does not put the person and their training at the center but profit, that does not work", says Maurizio Landini, secretary of the Cgil. "May 1st is aimed at young people who will be workers and who must pay attention to life - adds Daniela Fumarola, secretary of the Cisl - The day of celebration must also represent a moment of planning". And for Pierpaolo Bombardieri (Uil), "the right to life comes first. Paying homage to Pope Francis means respecting those principles that he defended for so long. We cannot resign ourselves until we have zero deaths at work".

The Concertone will be broadcast live on Rai3 starting at 3 pm, and simulcast on Radio2, RaiPlay, Rai Italia.
