An announcement that gives hope to the many lovers of good culture is already here: the Island of Stories Festival will return to Gavoi from 4 to 7 July, after the break of recent months, to start again with greater enthusiasm.

On the other hand, the news also emerges of the end of the collaboration between the association of the same name and the artistic director Marcello Fois, communicated recently through a post on the Festival's social channels.

«After seventeen years of fruitful work together and recognized by all – we read in the note – starting from the Festival audience, who in recent years has never failed to support us, Marcello has expressed his desire to close this chapter of his life. We respect him and thank him for these years lived together with so much passion, work and joy."

Following: «For this reason the association wishes to express its sincere thanks to Marcello for the contribution he provided during the editions as president».

There is no shortage of praise for the figure of Fois for the work done: «Marcello guided the Festival with heart and dedication and together we transformed it into a cultural event of international resonance. His commitment, his vision and his ability to bring unique stories and characters to Gavoi have made L'Isola delle Storie a point of reference in the field of Italian literature and culture and beyond."

And specifying: «Despite the end of this collaboration, we are confident and aware that this separation will mark the beginning of a new era for the Festival. We are determined to preserve the legacy built together with Marcello and to ensure that the Festival continues to thrive, celebrating new stories, to be heard and experienced in the squares of our country."
