The nineteenth edition The actor's suitcase starts with a bang, scheduled from 26 to 30 July on the island of La Maddalena.

Tomorrow at the Fortezza I Colmi, starting at 9 pm, the festival named after Gian Maria Volonté will debut with the documentary, unreleased for Italy, "Rosi About Eboli", made by Swedish directors Björn Blixt and Peter Englesson during the shooting of Francesco's film Rosi “Christ stopped in Eboli” (1979): an interview of the work granted at the time by the protagonist Volonté will be screened, while the full version will be reproduced on the morning of July 28 at the ex Magazzini Ilva in Cala Gavetta.

The first evening of the festival will continue with “Ennio”, a tribute work by Giuseppe Tornatore to the two-time Oscar winner and friend Ennio Morricone, author of the most beautiful soundtracks in world cinema and 10 films by Tornatore himself.

THE OTHER EVENINGS - Wednesday the tribute to Francesco Origo, taken from "Sipario sul mare", and "Il muto di Gallura", Thursday "The skies of Alice" with Alba Rohrwacher, who will receive the Gian Maria Volonté prize, awarded this year also to Renato Carpentieri.

Followed by Pif, aka Pierfrancesco Diliberto, who returns as a director on Friday accompanying the film “And we as assholes stayed to watch”, and finally Carpentieri, who will receive “his” Volonté Award on Saturday before the screening of “A story without a name”.
