They performed the Viola Sonata in F minor No. 1 by Johannes Brahms and Frank Bridge's Allegro passionate H.82: Davide Pizzo (viola) and Filippo Piredda (piano) won the seventh edition of the "Matteo Sanna/La.Tua.Musa." music award, organized by the homonymous association together with the two Sardinian Conservatories.

For the first time it was the “ Canepa ” of Sassari that hosted the final which rewarded the two students of the “Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina” Conservatory of Cagliari with 1500 euros .

The special jury prize went instead to the quintet formed by Martina Porcheddu (flute), Cristiana Nuvoli (clarinet), Danilo Ogno (horn), Riccardo Di Ciccio (bassoon) and Alessandro Virdis (piano), from the Sassari Conservatory, who presented the I and II movements from Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Quintet for piano and winds in B flat major.

The jury was made up of professors Gian Carlo Grandi and Mauro Masala of the Sassari Conservatory, Luigi Muscio and Elisabetta Dessì of the Cagliari Conservatory and the president of the “Matteo Sanna” Association, Candida Manca.
