The 4x100 of Tortu and Patta secures the pass for the Olympics

Thanks to the second place obtained in the first heat of the World Relays in Nassau, the Italian 4x100 relay team gained access to the Olympics .

Roberto Rigali, Marcell Jabos, Lorenzo Patta and Filippo Tortu finished the race with a time of 38"14 behind only the United States (37"49) . Third place for Brazil with 38''79. Three of the four, Patta, Tortu and Jacob, defend the magnificent gold won at the Tokyo Olympics, when Fausto Desalu replaced Roberto Rigali.

Two other Italian relay teams, the men's and women's 4x400, also qualified for the Paris Olympics , which will be held from 26 July to 11 August.
