Tension in Naples, Francesco Calzona ready to replace Mazzarri
The former Cagliari coach is doing worse than Garcia: De Laurentiis has decided, only the timing needs to be defined. Whether before or after the match against Barcelona
Tense days at Napoli after the 1-1 home draw with Genoa, yet another disappointing match with Mazzarri on the bench, which worsened Garcia's results and dropped the Italian champions to ninth place in the standings, -9 from the zone Champions League and -27 behind leaders Inter.
Today Mazzarri directs training at Castel Volturno, but it could be the last. The club is having talks with Francesco Calzona, former deputy of Sarri and Spalletti in Naples.

Calzona is currently coach of Slovakia, which he led to the European Championships, but he would have had the OK from the federation to also be able to coach Napoli at the end of the season, while remaining coach. He will therefore most likely be on the Neapolitan bench in the match against Cagliari.
De Laurentiis has only one doubt: will Mazzarri be sacked right now or will he be on the bench on Wednesday in the Champions League match against Barcelona?
