Tennis: Alessandro Ingarao wins Italian title for the fifth time in a row
The 27-year-old from Syracuse beats Lorenzo Rocco 6-2, 6-3 in the final.

For the fifth consecutive time, Alessandro Ingarao is champion of Italy at the Second Category Italian Championships in men's tennis.
This morning at the Cagliari Central Stadium, the 27-year-old Syracuse native defeated the young local champion, Lorenzo Rocco, in straight sets (6-2, 6-3). It was a very close match, more so than the score suggests. It was a great match in front of over two hundred and fifty people who cheered on the local favorite, Rocco, born in 2009, until the very last point.
A tight match with Ingarao decisive at key moments: the Sicilian saved at least seven break points. Then came the roar on the first match point that turned into the title: "Bravo!" he shouted, congratulating himself.
Ingarao, recently also Sinner's sparring partner, also won the doubles tournament with his teammate Antonio Caruso, beating Tommaso Gabrieli from Veneto and Guelfo Borghini Baldovinetti from Tuscany with a clear 6-0, 6-1.
Starting in the next few days, TC Cagliari will be hosting the Summer Cup, the international tournament that has previously featured Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Gael Monfils, Richard Gasquet, and many other champions. The clay courts of the Monte Urpinu club will host Italy, Spain, Andorra, Poland, Greece, and Monaco.
