During the work, national and international experts will also discuss the theme of adventure tourism, that is training in naturalistic contexts, and wellness tourism .

The second part of the conference will instead be dedicated to personalized medicine, the use of smart technologies and physical activity in the contrast of some pathologies. The interventions of researchers and teachers will focus on the prevention of metabolic diseases , on sports and hormones, on specific training for women struggling with osteoporosis as well as on exercises for the elderly.

The day will end with a round table - moderated by the journalist of L'Unione Sarda Enrico Pilia and by the sports psychologist Eleonora Fois - where the island's athletes will meet with companies in the sector who will present their news such as the virtual personal trainer, a device for remote cardio-dynamic assessments or for advanced data analysis.

“The digital revolution is also transforming the world of wellness. The conference, in addition to taking stock of the most avant-garde studies, will also serve to shorten the distance between research and sport, between laboratories and playgrounds, to facilitate meeting and exchange of ideas ", remarked Maria Assunta Serra . , general manager of Sardegna Ricerche .

The conference will also be an opportunity to present the LABSMS project, an innovative Laboratory-Campus where the most recent results of studies and analyzes will be measured and put into practice, with the aim of becoming a link between theoretical research and sports practice.

The Labsms - Laboratory of Science and Technique of Physical Exercise , Sport and Preventive and Adapted Motor Activities - which will be set up at the Science and Technology Park of Pula, was born from the collaboration between Sardegna Ricerche, the Department of Medical Sciences and Public Health of the University of Cagliari and the Regional School Office of Sardinia .
