Fourth day of the Italian table tennis championships. Three second category doubles titles were awarded yesterday at the Pala Pirastu in Cagliari. And two of these are brought home by the athletes wearing the jerseys of Muravera and Norbello, in the mixed doubles and women's doubles. It is not enough. Sardinia gains more podiums in a day full of emotions and satisfactions. Muravera takes the silver and bronze in the women's doubles, another third place in the mixed, like Norbello. Marcozzi and Santa Tecla Nulvi get on the podium for the first time in this edition in the men's doubles. For Nulvi it is the first time ever.

MIXED DOUBLE

Federica Roncallo del Muravera and Federico Vallino Costassa from Turin climb to the top step of the podium. They beat Paolo Bisi and Le Thi Hong in the final. In the semifinals they had to work overtime to overcome the Norbello couple formed by Veronica Mosconi and Marco Antonio Cappuccio in five sets, who are satisfied with the bronze. On the other side of the scoreboard, the other Muravera athlete Miriam Carnovale with the Turinese Allegranza stops in the semifinals, and therefore in third place.

FEMALE DOUBLE

Challenge in the final between Norbello and Muravera. And Norbello is celebrating with Veronica Mosconi paired with Giulia Cavalli, who played for Guilcer until last season. Victory in four sets against Nicoletta Criscione of Muravera and Le Thi Hong of Sud Tirol. The march of the favorites Federica Roncallo and Miriam Carnovale stops in third place, both from Muravera who thus conquers the fourth medal of the day.

MALE DOUBLE

Marcozzi's Antonino Amato was the defending champion. Partnering with Danilo Faso they reached the semifinals where they were defeated in four sets by Manna and Allegranza, and settled for bronze. In the lower part of the scoreboard, Maxim Kuznetsov, Russian but Sardinian by adoption, climbs onto the podium in third place, paired with Seretti. Happy epilogue of a season that saw him protagonist of the promotion to A2, and the final of the Inter Cup, of SantaTecla Nulvi.

The only Sardinian in the race yesterday was Marco Poma (TT Sassari) who was defending the title won in '22 with Amato. With Cappuccio (Norbello) he left the scene in the quarterfinals at the hands of Bisi and Ragni, who won the title shortly after.

Today two titles are awarded, the second category men's and women's singles. The outgoing champions are Alessandro Baciocchi and Valentina Roncallo.
