Italy wins gold in the 4x1.5 km relay in open water at the Fukuoka World Championships.

The protagonist, after the silver in the 5 kilometres, is a rediscovered Gregorio Paltrinieri who closes the super work of Barbara Pozzobon, Ginevra Tadeucci and Domenico Acerenza arriving solo in 1h10'31"2.

Second place, and silver medal, for Hungary, followed on the lowest step of the podium by Australia.

Over the moon Paltrinieri after the triumph: «We are very happy, it is the first time that we have won gold at the World Cup. We have won everything and everyone over the years, but we missed this medal and we cared very much».
