With a time of 1:29:23, Sofia Goggia won her first World Cup Super-G title in the finals in Lillehammer , Norway. The skier from Bergamo managed to get the better of her main rival of the day, New Zealand's Alice Robinson , who, guilty of making a few too many mistakes, finished seventh on the Kvtifjell slope.

On the podium, behind Goggia, were Switzerland's Corinne Suter (1:29.55) and Germany's Kira Weidle-Winkelmann (1:29.83). Elena Curtoni , on the other hand, was disappointed, finishing eighth due to a bad mistake in the final stretch. Also in the standings were Laura Pirovano (13th) and Asja Zenere (16th). Further back was Roberta Melesi .

For Goggia, visibly moved by her victory, this is her fifth career trophy after four previous downhill titles. For Italy, it's the second trophy won this season, following Laura Pirovano's own.
