Suitable areas, wall to wall in the classroom: "Discussion in the worst possible political climate"
The opposition, which has presented about 1700 amendments to the text, confirms the battle. And the committees resume the demonstration for PratobelloVideo di Stefano Fioretti
The Regional Council's work on bill 45 on Areas suitable for renewable energy plants is proceeding slowly. The first article of the five total articles of the law and its amendments have been examined since this morning.
The opposition, which has presented about 1700 amendments to the text, confirms the fight by supporting Pratobello 24, the popular initiative law with over 210 thousand signatures. In particular, the importance of recalling the competences as per the Autonomous Statute in defense of the landscape is reiterated. The minority has chosen the obstructionist line of parliamentary type: on the large amount of suppressive amendments presented, it is asking for a roll call vote on each one. Given the rejections, the majority holds the line dictated during the last summits convened by the president Alessandra Todde.
Fausto Piga (FdI) made his position clear during the debate: "The discussion is taking place in the worst possible political climate - he began - our attempts to start a unitary path have failed. It should have been the battle of all Sardinians, you have managed to make everyone angry , the 210 thousand signatories of the Pratobello 24 law and all the Sardinians who want an energy transition by distancing the speculators".
"The Pratobello law died in the chamber at birth", said the regional councilor of the League Alessandro Sorgia. The League representative himself asked for a roll-call vote on the opposition's amendment to Article 1 of the Suitable Areas. The amendment, later rejected, asked to place the Autonomous Statute on primary competence in urban planning matters before the Draghi Decree. A passage considered key by the supporters of the text signed by over 210 thousand Sardinians. The roll-call vote intends to highlight who is voting for and who is against the Pratobello law that was proposed in the chamber by the opposition in the form of amendments: "We will continue to enforce almost 211 thousand Sardinians - added Sorgia - this is what Todde and his majority, who are held hostage by the president, do not want to understand".
"We cannot understand why President Todde does not want to open up avenues to discuss Pratobello". Clarifications that the Committees supporting the popular initiative law against energy speculation expect to have from the meeting agreed with the majority and opposition group leaders in the Regional Council that could take place as early as tomorrow or Thursday.
Pratobello supporters made their voices heard today too: "The foundations of this bill have been undermined", say the representatives of the Committees who are announcing new initiatives to fight even if the Aree Idonee is approved. "A law that is approved does not necessarily remain a law forever, there are various tools by which this rule can also be withdrawn once approved - explained the lawyer Michele Zuddas, who has been on hunger strike for fifteen days, hinting at a possible referendum - We are also preparing ourselves in this direction, we do not exclude any political struggle".
Last week, FI councilors displayed banners in favor of the popular initiative law, but this time they could occupy the Chamber in place of the representatives of the coordination of committees , who are denied entry to the building and who are pushing for an immediate and joint examination of the popular proposal. In the meantime, the spokespersons of the committees have announced that the picket under the building in via Roma will resume at 9:30 and will continue until Thursday at 22:30.
