Three bronze medals for the Ichnusa Rowing Club of Cagliari at the last European canoe polo championship, held over the weekend in Catania.

The results. Silvia Cogoni and the senior women's team, after suffering a 2-0 defeat in the semifinal against France, overtook the favorite Germany in the final for third place (1-0). For the representative team, this is the second continental medal in its history, after the bronze obtained in 2019 in Portugal. For Cogoni, a new satisfaction on the pitch in the blue jersey, after the fifth place obtained in the women's Serie A club tournament, as coach of Canottieri Ichnusa.

Bronze medal also for the Under 21 always female, which fielded two athletes from Cagliari: Giorgia Orofino and Claudia Fanni. The victory over Great Britain (4-1) in the final was fundamental to secure the podium.

Last commitment. The Sicilian away match, the last match of the competitive season, also scored the fifth place in the men's Under 21 team. Always two, the Sardinian pawns in the water: the player Michele Ibba and the technical manager Riccardo Ibba.
