A new meeting point between the rich stoner scene of the island and the supporting cast of the Old Continent, to be celebrated in three corners of the island: the Sardinian trip is coming up for the Dutch power-trio Bismut , who with their arsenal of hypnotic riffs and heavy psychedelia will debut on Friday 16th in Cagliari , preceded by the Elepharmers on the Fabrik stage at 10pm , continuing on Saturday 15th at the Alex Bar in Ossi – this time in the company of the noise of Kaspar , from 9.30pm – to conclude on Sunday 18th at the Trattoria del Sole e della Luna in Buggerru , preceded at 5.30pm by Basaltic Plateau .
Formed in 2016 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, Bismut are Nik Linders (guitar), Huibert der Weduwen (bass) and Peter Dragt (drums): for a decade they have been performing on stages all over Europe, from underground clubs to major festivals of the genre such as Into the Void , DesertFest Antwerp and the German Krach Am Bach , also passing through the local and exclusive Duna Jam . After having debuted with the cosmic and progressive sound of " Schwerpunkt " (2018), which evolved into the traditional doom turn of " Retrocausality " (2020) and then consolidated in the fuzz of " Ausdauer " (2023), the trio now brings to Sardinia the new " Matsutake ", released in April of this year via Tonzonen Records .
A fourth chapter that carves the hypnotic sounds of Bismut in stone, in a more mature and personal remix of the powerful riffs and pounding groove , in arid, psychedelic atmospheres that now have little of the original prog influences, except for their inventiveness and epic nature. A sonic journey that finds suitable companions, between the psychedelic and bluesy stoner of Cagliari's Elepharmers , the dropout punk noise of Sassari's Kaspar, and finally the alternative, desert-like sounds of Basaltic Plateau from the capital.
