Stop in Gesico for the Saboris Antigus Taste Caravan

The caravan of taste and craftsmanship of Saboris Antigus tomorrow, Sunday 24 November, stops in Gesico in the name of rediscovering the ancient crafts, flavors and scents of the area.
It starts at 9 with the opening of the stands with exhibition and tasting of typical products, demonstrations of local crafts and ancient trades . Also scheduled is the opening of the Gesico museum system by the Antes cooperative with the coordination of Martina Usai.
The day's program is very rich : at 9.30 "Obsidian: the black gold of the Sardinians", an exhibition curated by Giuseppe Cabras and "Sardinian Archaeology", a session of experimental archaeology with educational workshops, installations and presentation of artefacts in the Casa Dessì.
From 10am the Casa della massaia opens in the former playroom: Gianluca Medas talks with the housewives of Gesico and their ancient knowledge. The event continues with open-air demonstrations of the making of seadas, fried foods, ravioli, bread and cheese by the Comitato Donne Santa Giusta Gesico; "Record recording in Sardinia", an educational exhibition by the Tiria Noa association; work on the models of Sardinian culture by Gigi Porceddu, a sculptor from Villasor.
At 10.30 “Ancient Oceans”, an exhibition of fossils from the prestigious Dellaca collection in the former bank in Piazza Umberto I “Sa Panga”. Followed by a parade and itinerant dance with couples in traditional dress from various Sardinian towns accompanied by the accordionist Mattia Mura and the professional flautist Federico Longoni with the artistic direction of Tonio Schirru.
At 11am archery by the Funtana Onnis Guasila Group; at 11.30am “Cin Cin Cannonau", guided tasting of wines from local wineries by the Botteghe in Piazza Association. At 1pm the Sagra della Vetella by the Piga butcher's shop with a demonstration of the stages of cooking and preparing veal . From 3pm the presentation of the book "Manuale Intergalattico di Geologia" by Luigi Sanciu, geologist and director of the Genoni Paleoarchaeological Museum; the ethnic music show; the traveling show "Topolino Sardo" by Let's Rox AnimAzione.
At 4 pm the Show cooking pizza Memorial Christian Mauro Bonu with the collaboration and involvement of pizza chef friends and the participation of chef Marco Mulas. The conclusion of the party entrusted to the traditional masks Is Cerbus (Sinnai) and Is Scruzzonis (Siurgus Donigala) ; the concert of the Istentales and the fireworks in Piazza Mercato. Since 1997 Gesico has been part of the "Città delle Lumache" together with about ten other Italian municipalities.
