Smart working, Sardinians are looking for more flexibility at work

Smart working and personalized organization of working hours are the most sought after features for company employees. To report them is "People at Work 2022: A Global Workforce View", the annual survey by the ADP Research Institute, an American multinational leader in human capital management, which involved about 33,000 workers in 17 countries, of which about 2,000 in Italy in all regions.
In particular, as regards the Sardinians, the most important factor remains the salary (66 per cent), but a quarter of the interviewees would be willing to accept a reduction in pay to gain greater flexibility or control over their working life. 25% would then accept a reduction if this corresponded to the improvement of their work-life balance , even without changing working hours, but with the possibility of deciding how and where to distribute the hours during the day.
Perhaps the most representative figure is the one that emerges from the question: "If you had to go back to the office 5 days out of 5, would you try to change your job in favor of a more flexible one?", To which 38% of the interviewees answered "yes" ( the Italian percentage is 45%). Another fundamental fact is that relating to the ideal job . For 48% of Sardinians, the best combination is remote work combined with office work.
"At the moment, there is a long list of what you want from a job. While pay is an immediate concern for many, flexibility and work-life balance are also very important - explains Marisa Campagnoli, HR. Director ADP Italy - Today workers have something more in mind than a simple salary. The pandemic has emphasized even more the importance of personal well-being and private life and has increased the desire for more attractive working conditions, such as a greater flexibility, the ability to work remotely and a better corporate culture. Employees are increasingly interested in a company's ethics and values. "
