Sixth success of the season for Sofia Goggia, the champion also triumphs in Cortina

An amazing Sofia Goggia returned to win the Cortina d'Ampezzo World Cup downhill run on the classic Olympia delle Tofane track, where she had already won in 2018, with a time of 1.06.98.
For Sofia it is the 17th victory in her career and sixth of the season. The Bergamo champion made two serious mistakes but still managed to stay very fast and recover.
On the podium with her the Austrian Ramona Siebenhofer in 1.07.18 and the Czech Ester Ledecka in 1.07.24.
"It was incredible to win after everything I did today. A dream. I caught a strong gust of wind and opened up. I couldn't see where I was putting my skis because of the snow raised by the gusts", these are the words of a Sofia Goggia enthusiastic about the result.
