A cult band of the Italian underground, emerging from the darkness stronger than ever. Simon Dreams In Violet will be flying from the capital to the island for three dates : starting tonight at Devil Kiss in Olbia , on stage from 10 pm with the goth rock of Sardinian band Threehouse Trauma opening, continuing at the same time on Saturday at Cafè Nouvel in Carbonia , and concluding on Sunday at 7 pm at Fabrik in Cagliari . On the final two nights, the Roman band will be joined by Cagliari's Endelos and their post-punk, while the closing performance at the local venue will feature musical selections by Revenant (Giacomo Pisano).

Formed in 1992 , with the name said to come from a dream of the singer's then-partner, Simon Dreams In Violet made their imagery clear from their first logo , depicting a symbol that was placed on the tombs of alleged witches. Despite rare releases on Energeia Records , the band quickly became a cult figure in the Roman goth scene , reaching many other fans even after their breakup.

But in 2018 , the genre label Swiss Dark Nights accomplished something important, managing to assemble and release the compilation " Dreaming The Lost 1992-1996 ", which concentrated the best gems of the group's original discography . The great acclaim received not only prompted a second volume of the collection in 2021, but also motivated the two original members Massimiliano De Franceschi (vocals) and Rosario Rizzo (bass, keyboards and percussion) to return to activity, with a new lineup that also includes the islander Stefano Fenu (bass). And reviving the sound between goth, new wave, positive punk and post-punk, the trio is now working on new, unreleased material .
