The second edition of the Ammajare Festival, organized by the Intrecci Culturali association and the Municipality of Siligo, attracted great interest, confirming the solidity of a project born to investigate the injustices of the past and recognize those that continue to creep into the present.
The closing ceremony took place in Mores, Julia Carta's hometown, with the presentation of the book dedicated to her, written by Antonietta Uras, which recounts the story of the woman accused of witchcraft in the late sixteenth century. The presentation was accompanied by a theatrical monologue on the life of the woman convicted of witchcraft, written by Giampaolo Cassitta and performed by Roberta Campagna and Luca Fancello.
Thanks to the festival, the municipality of Siligo has been included in the national network of "witch cities." The organizers are looking forward to the third edition of "Ammajare" from July 31 to August 2, 2026, again in Siligo, where women will be the protagonists.
