After the denunciation of the Cisl Pensionati, the regional councilors of LeU Sardigna, Daniele Cocco and Eugenio Lai, together with all the minority councilors, presented a motion "on the serious shortage of personnel in the staff of the INPS territorial structures in Sardinia and , in particular, of the medical staff at the Nuoro Local Medical Commission ".

"The assessment of the possession of the health requirements provided by law for the recognition of civil invalidity, civil blindness, deafness, handicap and disability is carried out by a Medical Commission at the Local Health Authorities, integrated with an INPS doctor. Unfortunately the serious deficiency of medical and administrative staff at the local INPS offices - explained Cocco - causes a strong impact on citizens, causing serious disservices and delays in the recognition of civil disability and, therefore, in the recognition of all benefits of an economic nature (pensions, checks, allowances) and non-economic (tax concessions, health care, permits 104) provided for by law. The Provincial INPS Committee of Nuoro has repeatedly highlighted the suffering in the staff of the peripheral structures of the Institute in Sardinia and the shortage of doctors for the Medical Commission of Nuoro, even fearing the blocking of visits in the event of a further contr staff action ".

"The organizational decisions taken by INPS regarding the reduction / closure of some local branches of the Institute, the assignment of new staff and the transfers of personnel from the peripheral offices to the central offices, do not place Sardinian citizens at the center of a organic, functional and efficient distribution of services - he added -. The lack of personnel leads to disservices especially in the internal or more isolated territories of the island, already penalized by the lack of public transport services and old and dangerous road infrastructures, with serious inconvenience among citizens with serious illnesses or disabilities, who need immediate checks and investigations for the recognition of civil disability ".

CISL: "THE INSTITUTIONS INTERVENE" - In the past few hours it was the Cisl Pensionati of Nuoro that raised the alarm on the case, explaining that 37 employees of the social security institution of the capital of Barbagia have retired in the last two years and have not been replaced .

A situation that is leading to the paralysis of the practices in progress for the 74 Municipalities of the Nuoro Ogliastra Province, which have 200 thousand residents.

The union had invited local and regional institutions to take action to resolve the situation.
