As expected, Olbia has decided to reinstate its captain: tonight, with a press release, the Gallura club announced that it has found harmony with Luca La Rosa to continue together.

"The club announces that this morning a clarifying meeting was held between Luca La Rosa and his entourage, mister Zé Maria and Benno Räber (member of the Olbia Calcio board) at the Nespoli stadium," the official press release reads. "On the agenda were the misunderstandings of the last few days, which had raised concerns about the future and the relationship between Luca La Rosa and Olbia Calcio. With this press release - it continues - we intend to clarify that Luca La Rosa and the club have found the right motivations to align and will therefore continue to work smoothly on the project to bring the club back where it deserves to be."

La Rosa had been sidelined from the project, together with Cristian Anelli and Riccardo Santi, after the meeting a week ago with president Guido Surace, who proposed the termination of the contract and received a firm "no" in return, a measure which was in fact unjustified and which sparked protests from the fans in defence of the captain and symbol of Olbia.

La Rosa has therefore resumed training with the rest of the group in view of the direct clash with Terracina, and will be able to lead the whites towards the first objective of the season: safety in Serie D.
