After the Arona retreat and the August break, Olbia returns to training at the “Nespoli” in view of the seasonal debut: on Sunday, at the “Nespoli”, the Gallura derby is scheduled with the newly promoted Ilvamaddalena for the preliminary round of the Coppa Italia Serie D.

This afternoon, in their home stadium, the whites will resume their pre-season training under the orders of coach Marco Amelia: the session will be behind closed doors. The same goes for the joint training with Budoni, which should take place, barring any surprises, on Wednesday.

Considering the delay with which Olbia's season started, with about ten days of work left in their legs and only one test, the one against Borgomanero, defeated a few days ago 2-1 with goals from Anelli and Pani, the friendly against Budoni, candidate for the victory of the Eccellenza tournament and victorious in the two summer tests with Ilvamaddalena (2-1 and 4-0), is what is needed to verify the situation of the whites, whose squad is still incomplete.

To date, 14 players have been made official by the club, and many of these come from problematic seasons, in which they have played little. The hope is that, in the week leading up to the first official match, Olbia will make important market moves.

In line with the statements of the Swiss owners, who are aiming to win the championship, and the dreams of the fans, who would like to see their football team back among the professionals soon after the direct relegation from Serie C last April.
