«The Democratic Party holds congresses and really does them, discusses and then defines a line: it is able to establish itself as the first party, as happened in Sardinia».

The national secretary Elly Schlein is confident about the fate of the Dems. And assures that they are in good health during an interview given this morning to Rtl 102.5.

«This does not mean», added Schlein, «that it is not a plural party, others will legitimately not sign the referendum on the jobs act. I don't see a divided and fragmented party as many say, but a party capable of recovering six points in the polls."

It will be a long job, he added, "to build an identity".
