The initiative scheduled for Saturday at 10.30 is entitled "The Museum behind the scenes". The deposit and restoration laboratories of the National Art Gallery of Sassari will be reopened to the public.

The director of the Museum, Maria Paola Dettori , and the staff of the Pinacoteca, will reveal new contents present in the deposits and laboratories , through objects, documents and paintings, with a focus on the important and famous characters of our history, portrayed by little-known artists and to be discovered, like the Bohemian Oskar Brazda.

The day will be dedicated to visitors to make known and share the backstage of the activities that take place outside the exhibition halls. The behind the scenes that accompanies the path of the works and the result of the interventions that will make them visible to the public. An event not to be missed to satisfy small curiosities, capture every detail on dates and attributions, learn about the methodologies that have made some restoration interventions unhappy to remedy, discover ancient works and contemporary works to "put in shape" so that they are ready for the exposure.

During the day there are two guided tours of the laboratories and warehouses, at 10.30 and at 12, with the maximum participation of 15 people, by reservation required.
