From the legendary Art Pepper to the Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell passing through Spain before landing in Sassari. With new compositions that enhance the 21st edition of the "(to) be in Jazz - Aperitif Concerts" festival, organized by the Blue Note Orchestra Association (ABNO) in collaboration with the Theater and/or Music Cooperative.

Three double Sunday appointments on 4, 11 and 18 December (concert at 11 and 18) with final tasting of wines offered by some local wineries. Also on the bill are the Christmas concerts on Friday 23 December at 20.30 and Saturday 24 at 11, again at the Teatro Verdi.

Opens the festival " OJS Plays Art Pepper+Eleven ", a tribute to Art Pepper+Eleven , album by the American saxophonist Art Pepper. Starring the Sardinian Jazz Orchestra and saxophonist Gabriele Comeglio.

On 11 December the Sardinian Jazz Orchestra will present “ A Day in Barcelona ”, a musical project created by the arranger and conductor Duccio Bertini in collaboration with the Spanish singer Susana Sheiman. On the 18th “ A Case of You ”, a tribute to the music of Joni Mitchell by the arranger and conductor Michele Corcella. The marvelous nuances of the Canadian artist's voice will be rendered by the composer and singer Erica Mou, winner of the Mia Martini Award at the 2012 Sanremo Festival.

The program will end with two eagerly awaited Christmas concerts , on December 23rd at 8.30pm and December 24th at 11am, dedicated to "Christmas in Swing". The program offers arrangements of the repertoire of the great orchestras of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and reserves the public some surprises themed with the Christmas festivities. On stage the Sardinia Laboratory Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Gavino Mele, together with the Santa Cecilia Polyphonic Choir directed by Matteo Taras and the lead voice of Denise Gueye.
