According to an initial reconstruction of the incident, the 22-year-old was hit by a piece detached from a machine. His condition immediately appeared desperate. The alarm to 118 was immediate, but the health personnel, who arrived on the spot, could not do anything else other than ascertain his death.

The body was transferred to the polyclinic of Monserrato, for the autopsy ordered by the Public Prosecutor of Cagliari, which will be performed by the coroner Francesco Ferraro.
