"Enough with the assault, we are under tremendous pressure". A cry of alarm that comes from Villacidro , a village in the Medio Campidano area that complains about the pressure from various companies that intend to build a series of wind and photovoltaic plants in the area: the mayor Federico Sollai and the municipal council have approved a document in which the landscape is requested to be protected . Not only that: planning also takes place. Because, it is underlined, the administration is by no means opposed to energy from renewable sources, but opposes a strong no to speculation and employment without rules, a situation that would have environmental consequences.

According to the most recent list, there are about ten new parks : in the fields of Santu Miali, in the industrial area, in the ex-Scaini area, and others in the areas bordering various neighboring municipalities.

The companies in question "are aimed at those who own large plots by promising only a rent and favor the desertification of our countryside by discouraging agriculture".

This is discussed in the document drawn up for the Region and the ministry which also contains specific requests.
